How long have you been in business?
Gotcha Covered was started in the Dallas Texas area in 1995 and we have been operating in the Triangle since 2002.
What is your primary product or service?
We offer custom window coverings - both hard coverings, which include blinds, shades, and plantation shutters; and soft window treatments, including draperies, valances, and other treatments.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
After years of working with contractors who would show up late for appointments, not deliver what they promised, track dirt and mud into the home, and not act in a professional manner, we decided to start a business that would employ what we call "common sense" customer service - things like showing up on time, always dressing and acting professionally, and delivering exactly what we promised. We saw too many window covering companies that were offering inferior quality products, zero customer service, and a sales force that knew little about the products they were selling. We saw a need for a more professional company and have been serving many happy customers since then.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We base our business on three pillars - customer education, extensive product selection, and outstanding service during all phases of the selection and purchase process. We want you to be completely satisfied and we aren't satisfied until you are.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have two locations in Raleigh. Our main showroom is located at 3658 Capital Boulevard in the Holly Tree Shopping Center and is staffed from 10-6 Monday through Friday and from 10-3 on Saturday. Our satellite location is at 8411 Glenwood Avenue, inside the Kitchen & Bath Galleries store. This location has a smaller display area and is currently not staffed full-time.
Provide detailed directions to your location
Our primary showroom is at 3658 Capital Boulevard, located between Old Buffaloe and Buffaloe Road. We are conveniently located between I-440 and I-540, with easy access from most parts of Raleigh or the Triangle. While our office is in Raleigh, we also come directly to your home or business. That way, we can measure the windows, and you can look at and choose the samples in the comfort of your own surroundings.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, personal checks, Visa and MasterCard.
Which areas do you service?
We service primarily Wake County and the Triangle Area. We occasionally work down at the coast, but we mostly stay within a 40-mile or so radius of Raleigh.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
The owner's name is Ted Browne, who is also directly involved in the sales and day-to-day operations.
What are your hours of operation?
Our main showroom hours are 10-6 Monday through Friday and 10-3 on Saturday. Our in-home consultations are by appointment only, primarily 9:00-6:00 pm Monday-Friday.
